Thomas Priestley diary and biographical data, 1864.

Diary (June 12-Oct. 20; 9 leaves, typed copy) kept by Priestley, of the 30th Wisconsin Infantry, while on march through Minnesota and Dakota Territory with Sully's expedition. He records daily experiences, especially camp activities. Also a letter (July 18; 2 leaves, photocopy) from a comrade who had remained in the Fort Ridgely hospital, mainly commenting on his illness and the poor condition of the hospital.
